Tel Hai has an exciting opportunity for someone to join our Residential Living team as the Tel Haven Apartment Manager.
Attractive 3- or 4-day work week, 9am-2pm or 9am-4:
30pm.
The Apartment Manager is responsible for assuring that Tel Haven residents receive prompt, efficient, courteous, and quality service while supervising the general administration and physical operation of the property.
This person will also assure that the rental program is properly executed; current regulations are being followed; and assure the provision and maintenance of efficient mechanical operations, adequate buildings and equipment.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Responsible for all daily decisions relative to management and operations.
Participates in management and maintenance activities as well as management affairs such as accepting and processing applications, collecting rents, managing rental delinquencies, overseeing daily and preventative maintenance activities, and responding to resident psychosocial issues.
Responsible for making referrals to community agencies.
Responsible for determining eligibility, certifying and recertifying incomes and selecting residents referring to the resident selection criterion and eligibility requirements.
Coordinates and supervises timely apartment unit turnover working with residents, maintenance and/or contractors.
(Move-ins, departures, transfers, refurbishing and inspections.
) Maintains current knowledge of Rural Housing regulations, familiarizing with the regulations and referencing them.
Assists in the completion of forms for residents:

PACE application, rent rebate, etc.

Qualifications:
High school graduate or equivalent required.
Some college education or post-graduate helpful.
Certified Occupancy Specialist (or equivalent) in Rural Housing required within eighteen months of employment.
Knowledge of federal, state and local regulations pertaining to Rural Housing required or obtained within one year of employment.
Must possess strong math and or bookkeeping abilities, Must be proficient in the use of a calculator and computer (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
) Experience in working with the geriatric population and familiarity with issues of the aging population preferred.
Good written and verbal communication skills are required.
